Thos Peatling Map
For this project i was briefed to design a map that would be used as a visual communication for a wine business who were relocating from a shop in a town to an office in a rural location. The priority for this brief was informing the map user so it had to be instant and clear. This relied on a simple format with instantly recognisable landmarks. So, to achieve this i drove to Suffolk and did the journey to take in any landmarks, clearly understand the brief, and to take photos and do drawings in situ.
Because the business has a well established customer base one requirement was that there was an element of humour and informality to this map so i did some annotations and it was decided that all text would be hand written (including the business’s logo) so as to create a familiar tone.
